• INTIMATE EVENT: ONLY 145 spaces available

• Dance teams (any genre) will participate in a choreographic workshop. 
• Workshop will be led by a professional dance artist, Tegvaran Sooch
• Workshop will set a theme and teach about specific choreographic element(s). 
• Choreographic element(s) and theme will be used to create a dance with your team. 
• Teams share their dances that same evening. 
• NEW THIS YEAR: FILM WORKSHOP. Do you have some students that love to make videos? There will be a DANCE FILM workshop held at the same time as the choreography workshop. 
• Dance Film workshop lead by Bryce Koebel.
• Film students are matched with a group to film their process and final choreography. 
• Dance films will be quickly edited and shared after breakfast.
• Dance films will be shared in an online format for schools to share in their classes. 
Registration: 
• Registration deadline: February 10, 2025
• Cost per student $160 which includes:

Sea to Sky Dance and Film Artists may register individually through this website.

Rules: 
1 Theme will be released the week before for dancers to search for music. Remember you will be placed in random groups with dancers from other schools. Keep your song ideas to yourself until you meet your Sound Off team! 
2 A choreographic element shared in the workshop MUST be present in your choreography or film. 
3 All choreographies and films must be created by the artists on the team on the day of the competition. 
4 ALL HIGH SCHOOL RULES APPLY. This is a SCHOOL EVENT for grades 8-12.

6 Costumes: for the performance please wear black sweatpants, pants, shorts, or leggings. Sound-off t-shirts will be included to wear at the performance so everyone looks uniform.

3:30 - 6:00 Choreography Time. Each team will have a specific space to work in. (decided by game at end of workshop)

8:00 - 9:00: Sharing Showcase and feedback from artists
9:00 - 9:30 S’Mores
9:30 - 11:00 Free time: swim, feedback responses for your paired team, campfire

Guest Artist Tegvaran Sooch

Tegvaran Sooch is a versatile artist from Surrey, BC, training in styles like Hip-Hop and KRUMP. Representing the “illest illusionz” crew, Teg has had the opportunity to compete in various local and out-of-town street dance tournaments, spanning cities such as Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, and Seattle. 

For Teg, dance is a way of storytelling and emotional expression. He draws inspiration from the energy of the people around him, movie characters, and anime. His artistic approach involves the fusion of experimental concepts with foundational elements in unconventional ways, resulting in distinctive and captivating movement.

Guest Artist Bryce Koebel

Bryce Koebel is a 32 year old content creator and dancer from Surrey, BC. While his original love was dance, his second love of digital media helped him bridge the gap between these two worlds. He started out filming solo dance videos for his friends to filming for some of the biggest companies such as Stance Elements & Red Bull Dance.
